Fly ’n Dry Waders – Quality Standards

  • All waders are made from 4mm closed-cell reinforced double-lined radial flex neoprene.
  • All seams are sealed and double taped for extra strength.
  • The chest waders have neoprene straps for comfort, with large buckles for easy adjustment. They have a front pocket on the chest with a velcro flap to enclose your goodies, and a hand warmer is built in behind the pocket for those colder days. They also have a reinforced offset crotch seam.
  • All styles have K-Tough urethane knee pads which prevent holes in this vulnerable area.

What is neoprene?

Neoprene is a synthetic rubber material consisting of an inner layer of millions of tiny air bubbles – which give it its insulation properties – sandwiched between fabric backing on both sides.

Neoprene is stretchy, which allows you to move and bend with minimal restriction. Neoprene is also buoyant, which is great for safety in the water.

Extra K-Tough is available on the Aquaculture Waders for the added protection that is recommended in the industry and by government departments. Aquaculture Waders are extensively used in Tasmania and South Australia in the oyster industry.

Neoprene waders are extremely comfortable and will stretch with you. This makes stepping in and out of boats and over fences a lot easier.

Our entire range of waders (with the exception of our 2.5mm Hipster waders) are made in Olive Mesh neoprene, which is green in colour.

Olive Mesh neoprene is six times more abrasion-resistant than standard Olive Green neoprene and has proved over time to be the most durable and most popular neoprene with our customers. Olive Mesh neoprene waders are a durable product and will give you value for money.

Boots

The gumboots built into Fly ’n Dry waders are Australian-made Blundstones – soft and flexible whilst giving good ankle support and tons of grip.

Choose from these boot styles:

  • Blundstone Gumboots Blundstone Gumboots – we believe this is the best gumboot in the world – extremely hard wearing with excellent ankle support. Ideally suited for rugged and commercial use. Available with steel cap toes if required ($25.00 extra). The boots feature lugged, non-slip soles for extra grip.

    (Hot Sox, like neoprene socks, are great for those colder days – worn inside your gumboots for extra warmth and comfort.)

  • Hardsole BootsHard Sole Extra-Grip 4mm Neoprene Lined Boots give extra warmth, comfort and flexibility. Ideally suited for extreme cold weather, they are easier to put on, more compact to store and therefore great for travelling. The boots feature lugged, non-slip soles for extra grip.
